Pump invited the "Kimmel" studio audience to his live grad party and they all waved purple and white pom-poms, cheering during his performance. The Miami native rapper channeled his album cover in his outfit. He was decked out in a purple and white robe and sparkly purple graduation cap. Pump brought his own personal pom squad and signature brand of swagger to the late night performance as he rapped about people trying to be like him in the chorus:
“Everybody wanna be like me (Ooh, yeah)/Everybody wanna be like me (Huh?)/Everybody wanna be like me/Bust down, big chains and fancy dress (Ooh).”
Harverd Dropout follows Pump’s 2017 self-titled debut album which peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 chart and spawned the Billboard Hot 100 single “Gucci Gang.” “Be Like Me” has been preceded by several other singles with the most recent being “Racks on Racks,” which was produced by Diablo and dropped on Jan. 31
Lil Pump’s appearance on “Kimmel” follows his recent announcement he will deliver Harvard University’s upcoming commencement address this May. At 18, Pump will notably be the youngest person to deliver the prestigious speech and the first rap artist to ever do it.
