Metallica will be releasing a new live acoustic album Helping Hands… Live & Acoustic At The Masonic in limited edition on Feb. 1 via Blackened Recordings. Fans can get a preview of the release courtesy of a newly posted video performance of the set's opening track “Disposable Heroes.”
The thrash metal giants unveiled the clip on Dec. 5 via YouTube in the midst of wrapping up the remaining 2018 U.S dates of their hugely successful WorldWired Tour. The unplugged performance of “Disposable Heroes” was filmed and recorded on Nov. 3 in San Francisco at Nob Hill Masonic Auditorium as part of Metallica's 2nd annual All Within My Hands Foundation Helping Hands Concert & Auction.
The rare acoustic rendition of the 1986 Master of Puppets classic is the second song to surface from the upcoming “Helping Hands” live set. The Rock and Roll Hall of Famers previously released a performance clip of “All Within My Hands” last month.
“Helping Hands” features 12 tracks and is available for preorder here in digital, as well as limited-edition colored double-LP set with all proceeds supporting the All Within My Hands Foundation. Fans can check out the performance of “Disposable Heroes” above and the video for “All Within My Hands” here.
