Watch: Metallica releases behind-the-scenes footage of their video 'Spit Out The Bone'

Metallica fans can now get a sneak peek at the making of the band’s recent video for their song “Spit Out The Bone.” A new YouTube video gives fans the same seat acclaimed metal video director Phil Mucci—who has done videos for Stone Sour, Huntress and more—had as he and his team were filming. Fans get to see the green screens, stunts and early takes. It’s also cool to see Mucci and crew having a bit of fun on the set of a video that carries some pretty heavy subject matter. Check out the behind-the-scenes video below along with the original above.

“Spit Out The Bone” is from Metallica’s latest album, Hardwired…To Self Destruct, which debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart when it was released in the fall of 2016. The video for the song was one of many, as Metallica announced that they planned to release videos for each song on the 26-track double album. Metallica is currently on tour in support of Hardwired…To Self-Destruct.
