The collective of Shownu, Wonho, Minhyuk, Kihyun, Hyungwon, Jooheon, and I.M. have to be one of the hardest working groups in any musical genre on the face of the planet at the moment. The K-Pop band known as Monsta X has released three full-length projects since the beginning of 2018 including Piece, Take.1 Are You There?, and their latest musical offering Take.2 We Are Here, was officially released worldwide, yesterday, Feb. 18. Now, with the release of their latest ten-track studio LP, the multi-platinum group have gifted their followers with the release of the visuals to their lead-off single, "Alligator."
"Alligator" features a multitude of different electronic dance music elements including heavily-distorted synths, an uptempo beat, and hard-hitting snare. Contextually, the lyrics, written by Jooheon, I.M., Daniel Kim, Cage, and Lee Suran, use the unsuspecting attack of the alligator as a metaphor for trapping lovers within their reach as well as falling victim to the same method of seduction.
Visually, Monsta X's presentations are always well-polished and highly produced. The music video features members taking on their hardest bad boy impersonations in several different settings. Whether executing flawless choreography in front of a blazing backdrop and flooded platform or dancing in the midst of red beams imitating the laser-sight of a high-caliber firearm, Monsta X provides high-quality visuals for their fans.
