AXS TV has another great week of programming planned for music lovers everywhere, starting tonight, Sept. 24, with the return of “The X Factor UK” and this week’s final rounds of auditions. The Godfather of Soul, James Brown, is also featured in a fabulous documentary, along with “Classic Albums” and a “Saturday Stack” tribute to Meat Loaf. Check out further programming details below.


“The X Factor UK” – 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT

Season 14 of “The X Factor UK” is in full swing and the final rounds of closed-room auditions air in the U.S. tonight, Sept. 24 and tomorrow, Sept. 25. Judges Simon Cowell, Sharon Osbourne, Nicole Scherzinger and Louis Walsh continue to cut up, crack up, and critique some more music hopefuls as they search for the next global music superstar. Be sure to tune in or set your DVRs so you don’t miss one zany, emotional, or spectacular moment!

“Docs That Rock – Mr. Dynamite: The Rise of James Brown” – 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT

There arguably isn’t a more important male artist in the history of soul music than the late, great Godfather of Soul James Brown. Oscar-winning filmmaker Alex Gibney explores his iconic career and the rich music legacy he left behind in this riveting documentary. Produced by Mick Jagger, the film features rare archived footage and interviews with bandmates Christian McBride, Bobby Byrd, Greg Tate, and Jabo Starks, and more.


“Classic Albums: Meat Loaf – Bat Out of Hell” – 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT.

“Classic Albums” continues its look at the albums that defined some of the biggest artists in music history with this week’s installment exploring American rocker, Meat Loaf and his 1977 breakthrough album Bat Out of Hell, which catapulted him to fame and spawned two more albums to form a Bat Out of Hell trilogy. Notable tracks include the title track and the sweeping, power rock ballad, “Two Out of Three Ain’t Bad.” “Classic Albums” goes behind-the-scenes and into the studio with Meat Loaf and other key personnel to take an in-depth look at the critically-acclaimed album’s creative process.


“Saturday Stack – Meatloaf” – Starting at 6 p.m. ET/3 p.m. PT

AXS TV’s sensational Saturday Stack programming blocks give fans an in-depth look at their favorite artists with interviews, profile pieces, music critic commentaries, concert films and more. The Sept. 30 “Saturday Stack” will feature a “Classic Albums: Meat Loaf” as well as content paying homage to renowned American rock star Meat Loaf. His acting career will also be highlighted with a showing of his work in the 2002 crime comedy, “Formula 51.”
