Friday the 13th, a day that usually inspires unease and fears of misfortune, the Rise Records’ metalcore band Of Mice & Men (OM&M for short) have defied superstition by courageously unveiling a new documentary, ‘Unbreakable.’
The short film follows the Orange County-based band across multiple continents giving audiences an inside look at OM&M on the road; on and off the stage. Comprised of Aaron Pauley (vocals/bass), Valentino Arteaga (drums), and guitarists Phil Manansala and Alan Ashby, the unique behind-the-scenes footage features festival performances (Rock on the Range, Download, Welcome to Rockville, Las Rageous, and more) captured earlier this year. You can watch the dramatic Johann Ramos-directed video above.
Known for writing honest music based on personal introspection, OM&M have broken barriers of language, culture, and distance, developing an intense bond with their massive fan base. With a firm belief in the cathartic abilities of music, the band embraces the vast array of human emotions through their relatable lyrics. All along inspiring listeners with the courage to face life’s many challenges; to look within oneself for a positive attitude, leveraging a power that enables them to move through life with greater joy and satisfaction.
With a new album on the horizon, the group has recently released two new songs, “Unbreakable” and “Back To Me,” giving fans a taste of what the next records’ sound will be for the foursome moving forward. Fans are undoubtedly loving the direction of the new disc as both songs have a combination of approximately 20 million streams to date. As anticipation builds for the yet-to-be-revealed new LP (the follow-up to Cold World), the band reassures us it’s still going to be ‘Of Mice & Men,’ and that they have an album’s worth of material, with more writing still to come.
OM&M have shared stages with artists such as Metallica, Linkin Park, and Queens of the Stone Age and are currently on the road with the alternative metal band from Los Angeles In This Moment on their ‘Half God - Half Devil' tour. Opening up all shows is the metal band from Gothenburg, Sweden, Avatar. You can check out the band’s remaining tour dates below. Tickets for select shows can be purchased by clicking here.
