Watch: Rising LA band Weathers talk letting loose and maturing as a band

For any up-and-coming band, selecting the right musical direction that checks all the boxes isn’t as easy as it seems. For LA-based band Weathers, the situation was all too familiar. “The past couple of years we decided to take a step back and write a bunch of new music because we feel like we’ve all been changing a lot, and we wanted our sound to mirror that,” Weathers frontman Cameron Boyer tells AXS. The result of that restart has seen Weathers enter a period of productivity.  The band released two EP’s in the span of three months earlier this year, and they’ve also announced their full-length debut, Kids In The Night, which is due for release this summer. Watch above as the group talks about connecting with their fans, having more fun when making music, and the surprising reactions to the new material.

Kids In The Night is out June 22.
