Currently gearing up for their Christmas tour, country-bluegrass band Ryan Shupe & the RubberBand are sharing their exclusive holiday Christmas single, "The Gift," which will warm hearts of all ages during this giving season. Formed in Ogden, Utah, Ryan and his band has been entertaining audiences for over two decades, with Shupe himself performing since he was 10 years old.
Shupe's talents move beyond singing, as he is a 5th generation fiddler, and plays electric and acoustic guitar, along with the mandolin. Shupe and his band first gained popularity when they hit it big with their single and album title "Dream Big," and have continued to release albums and singles on their own label.
This Christmas season they're releasing a special, original single about salvation and redemption perfect for this Christmas season. Ryan explains the meaning behind "The Gift" in which he tells AXS "I love writing songs and when I started writing 'The Gift' I didn’t know what it was about. I had all these lyrics about a king and someone having a gift swirling around in my mind. Then one day I realized it was a Christmas song and about the gift of salvation. I wanted the video for this song to be powerful. When I found this footage I knew it would be the perfect fit for a music video and I absolutely love how it turned out. This year we are excited about the #LightTheWorld initiative that helps spread service during the holiday season. We encourage everyone to get involved and serve your fellow men and women in all of your communities this year."
