LSD, the pop collaboration between Australian singer Sia, EDM hitmaker Diplo and British songwriter/producer Labrinth, has shared another colorfully adventurous music video for their latest single, “Thunderclouds." The new song arrived on Thursday and follows the project's previously shared singles, “Audio” and “Genius.” The brand new video for the song can be watched in full above,. It was directed by Ernest Desumbila and stars frequent Sia collaborator, child dance sensation Maddie Ziegler.
The previously shared video from LSD took viewers on a wild ride through the streets and canals of Los Angeles, but this time the trio takes to the marmalade skies of their musical imagination. The video begins with Ziegler seen wearing her matching Sia costume while being driven through a surrealistic skyscape in a flying bus with Diplo at the wheel, and Labrinth cruising around on nearby clouds. Sia is also featured in the video but takes shape in a singing marionette. Soaring throughout the clouds doesn't seem to phase Ziegler, who puts her sky-high dancing skills to the test atop the flying bus before the team heads back down to land and eventually brave their way through a lightning storm.
Desumbila had worked with the group in also directing their previous video for “Audio.” This is also not the first time that Sia has picked Ziegler to act in one of her videos, as the former television dancing star has performed in numerous projects for the pop singer in recent years including “The Greatest,” “Cheap Thrills” and “Elastic Heart,” just to name a few.
The video’s arrival on Thursday morning also came with a statement via press release saying that “Thunderclouds” will be included on LSD’s upcoming album, but didn’t go into detail on what else fans can expect from the record or when it might arrive. With the band now releasing their third single and second official video, it’s safe to assume that an official album announcement will arrive sometime early this fall.
