Just in time for International Women’s Day on March 8, singer-songwriter Chris Pierce has released a video for his new single, “Trouble Man.” A soulful, re-imagined take on the 1972 Marvin Gaye classic, the single is part of Pierce’s critically-acclaimed, You’ve Got To Feel It! , which was released late last year.

The album is a mix of well-known and lesser-known songs from the Sixties and early Seventies recorded in Muscle Shoals, Ala. You've To To Feel It!  features a variety of musical legends such as The Swampers, The Muscle Shoals Horns and Donna Jean Godchaux (The Grateful Dead).

Seen through the female lens and conceived with a vision of raising awareness and dialogue for the #MeToo and #TimesUp movements, Pierce teamed up with actresses Tara Buck and Marieh Delfino (She & I Productions) on the video for “Trouble Man." Shot in black and white, it features a wide array of amazing actors, including Taryn Manning (“Orange Is The New Black”), Renee Goldsberry (“Hamilton”), Brit Morgan (“Supergirl”) and Alexie Gilmore (“Labor Day”) singing along with Pierce's unrestrained, smooth vocals.

A vision of female empowerment, the video is also a reminder of the importance of men joining the fight for gender equality.

Chris Pierce is a highly respected member of the Los Angeles music community. Among his extensive list of accomplishments is a co-write of the song “We Can Always Come Back to This, which was prominently featured on the NBC hit show, This Is Us
