North Carolina’s indietronica band Sylvan Esso have released two new singles so far in 2016 with “Radio” and “Kick Jump Twist.” Both will be helping to lead the way for their 2017 campaign which will include a new album and most likely an international tour and plenty of stops around the global festival circuit.
The duo made up of singer Amelia Meath and the band’s lone instrumentalist Nick Sanborn gave “Radio” its national television debut on Tuesday night, performing the first single off their upcoming sophomore LP on Jimmy Fallon’s Tonight Show.
As a countdown clock ticked away behind them, the group give a pretty solid performance of the single as seen in the video below, introducing it to the world of late night television viewers to their new tune and gearing up for what should be a pretty be 2017 for them. Like the talented and well-prepared musicians that they are, their song finished right on the dot as the countdown clock reached zero. Almost too perfectly… conspiracy theory anyone?
Their upcoming album follows their 2014 self-titled debut LP, which gave playlist curators a field day with incredibly catchy singles including “Coffee” and "Hey Mami."
