Sylvan Esso’s Amelia Meath is never one to shy away from sharing her really fun dance moves while singing. Meath and a group of backup dancers ditch the stage for the great outdoors and beyond in the band’s new music video for “PARAD(w/m)E,” which was shared on Wednesday and can be watched in full above.
The new track is the second stand-alone single the electro-pop duo have shared since the release of their What Now LP back in April of last year. For their latest dance-friendly single, Meath leads her dancing troupe through a barren landscape and into a small, and somewhat deserted town. The video was directed by Dan Huiting, who worked with Sylvan Esso as the director for their 2014 hit single, “Coffee.” Huiting is also known for his numerous video projects alongside Bon Iver and Australian soft-rockers The Paper Kites.
The arrival of the new song and video comes at a perfect time for the duo from North Carolina, as they’re scheduled to head out on their 2018 world tour campaign starting later this month on Jan. 27 in Singapore. The band will tour across Australia and New Zealand throughout February before coming over to North America, where they’ll play throughout the spring and well into the summer months. Sylvan Esso will make scheduled stops at notable venues during their 2018 concert run, including scheduled stops at Los Angeles’ Greek Theatre on July 10, and Denver’s picturesque Red Rocks Amphitheatre on July 18.
Tickets to select shows on their 2018 tour are on sale now, and can be purchased by clicking here.
