Taylor Swift has shown time and time again that she’s not one to take the themes of her music videos lightly. With her Reputation LP dropping on Nov. 10, Swift shared the first few video clips from the album’s second single, "...Ready For It?" on Monday morning, which takes the pop singer to an alternative sci-fi universe with nude bodysuits, cyborg-like behavior and more lightning than even Thor would know what to do with.
As seen in the video’s official trailer above, Swift looks to continue taking out her enemies from this world and others with her super-humanoid powers brought forth by the high-intensity single. According to Billboard, the full video for “...Ready For It?” will be unveiled this Thursday, Oct. 26. The new single follows “Look What You Made Me Do” as the second track revealed from her highly anticipated follow up to 2015’s 1989.
Initially teased during a primetime college football game back on Sept. 2, “...Ready For It?” has been available for instant download for fans who have pre-ordered her album on Apple Music. According to Nielsen SoundScan, the single sold up to 251,000 digital downloads in the U.S. within a month following the initial tease.
2018 will most likely be the year of Taylor Swift once again in the world of pop music. 2012’s Red and 2015’s 1989 took the young singer-songwriter from the country charts to the top of the mainstream mountain with huge hits including “I Knew You Were Trouble," “Shake It Off” and “Blank Space.” She even helped rock bands like Haim reach a bigger audience when she took them on her hugely successful 1989 World Tour.
Swift has yet to reveal her touring plans for her promotion of Reputation after it arrives early next month, but will mostly likely be hitting the road to perform in stadiums and arenas starting late winter or early spring.
