Watch The Flaming Lips' release psychedelic new live video for 'Pompeii Am Götterdämmerung'

Psychedelic rockers The Flaming Lips have shared a trippy new live lyric video for the song "Pompeii Am Götterdämmerung.” The Pink Floyd-esque tune is from their 2006 opus At War With The Mystics. The video was recorded live over the course of multiple shows on the band’s 2017 “There Should Be Unicorns” tour. Lips frontman Wayne Coyne co-directed the visual with George Salisbury, which features lead vocals from Lips multi-instrumentalist Steven Drozd. Oh yeah, and Wayne Coyne plays the gong. It’s pretty awesome. You can watch the video above.

The Flaming Lips and Mac DeMarco are teaming up for a tour this fall. The Lips are touring in support of their latest record Oczy Mlody and it’s companion album On Board The International Space Station Concert for Peace. Oczy Mlody came in January of 2017 while On Board The International Space Station Concert for Peace was released on Record Store Day (April 22).
