NOLA roots rockers The Revivalists recently released a video for the song “Wish I Knew You” from their 2015 album Men Amongst Mountains. Coincidentally the band are literally men amongst mountains having played in Boulder last night and appearing at Denver’s Ogden Theater tonight before moving on to the Belly Up in Aspen, Colorado on March 5. You can watch the video for “Wish I Knew You” embedded above.

The Revivalists formed in 2007 at the legendary New Orleans club Tipitina’s where guitarist Zack Feinberg and drummer Andrew Campanelli first met at a local Sunday jam session. The band’s frontman, David Shaw, was brought into the fold after a serendipitous meeting. Feinberg was biking down the street and heard Shaw singing the song “Purple Heart” on his porch. Feinberg was moved to stop and the two made plans to jam. The duo passed an open mic audition at the famous dive bar/Laundromat Checkpoint Charlie’s and Feinberg introduced Shaw to the rest of the band. Fittingly, their first show was at Tipitina’s.

After Colorado, The Revivalists will continue their tour on the west coast with stops including Seattle and Los Angeles among others. Watch the band perform "Keep Going" from Men Amongst Mountains below.
