Adam Granduciel and his War On Drugs continue to build momentum for their upcoming album, A Deeper Understanding, by releasing the music video for its second single in ‘Holding On,' Tuesday morning.

The video, which can be watched above, stars Frankie Faison, who many television fans know very well from his time on the hit show, The Wire. Throughout the nearly seven-minute heartwarming video, Faison parts with his reclusive ways and strolls on into town where everyone, including Granduciel, is there to welcome him back into the world.

Speaking of television actors, Krysten Ritter (Jessica Jones, Breaking Bad) also came on to work as the video’s concept designer.

The War On Drugs should continue to unveil new content throughout the summer leading up to A Deeper Understanding’s Aug. 25 release via Atlantic Records. They’ll be hitting the road for the start of their North American fall tour on Sept. 21 at Philadelphia’s Dell Music Center. Tickets for select shows on the tour can be purchased right here on AXS.
