Watch: Turkuaz shares new video for 'Life In The City' track 'Make You Famous'

Brooklyn-based funk outfit Turkuaz has shared a new video for the track “Make You Famous” off of their recently released album Life In The City. Turkuaz shot the video in the cozy confines of guitarist Dave Brandwein’s Galaxy Smith Studios in Brooklyn. While the song is get-up-and-go old school R&B, it speaks to the “hurry up and wait” nature that is the life of a touring musician. It also touches on some of the other pitfalls of the music scene. You can watch the video for “Make You Famous” above.

Turkuaz is currently on tour in support of Life In The City, which arrived on Sept 28. The nine-piece will play Fête Music Hall in Providence, Rhode Island on Oct. 18. You can find tickets by clicking here. The band’s Life In The City tour will spill over into 2019 including a date at Denver’s Ogden Theatre with Colorado jam favorites Eminence Ensemble.
