Weird Al Yankovic's 3 most underrated songs on his birthday
AlYankovic/YouTube

Monday is "Weird Al" Yankovic's birthday, and music definitely wouldn't be the same without him. "Weird Al" is the master parodist of our generation, and he's also come up with quite a few original songs, all of which have left their mark on the music world in one way or another. In honor of his birthday, here are the three most underrated "Weird Al" songs that need to be on your playlist.

3) "Frank's 2000" TV"

This isn't just one of Al's most underrated songs, it may be one of his best. The story of a man who bought an obscenely huge TV appeals to everyone who's ever wanted an obscenely huge TV, and there are some great pop culture references in the song, like how big Robert de Niro's mole would be on a 2000-inch screen. But the music is great, too. There's just something about "Frank's 2000" TV" that makes it sound so chill, and puts the audience immediately at ease. It's impossible to listen to without a smile on your face, while also contemplating the challenges of owning a television bigger than humanly possible. Enjoy it by playing the video above.

2) "Your Horoscope For Today"

Music fans don't need a sign to tell them that "Your Horoscope For Today" is chaotically hilarious. Coming at you a mile a minute with lines like "The stars predict tomorrow you'll wake up, do a bunch of stuff and then go back to sleep," this song expertly pokes fun at the utter vagueness of most horoscopes. But it also paints all these hilarious pictures along the way. Why is somebody's fiancee hurling a javelin through their chest? What about the guy whose tongue freezes to the back of a speeding bus? And there can't be such a thing as tuna-flavored pudding, right? Al gets points for just being able to sing this song at its frenzied pace, but it also showcases how great of a storyteller he is.

1) "Harvey The Wonder Hamster"

This is Al's shortest song, clocking in at 22 seconds long. However, that doesn't stop it from being utterly addictive. The tiny tale of Harvey the Wonder Hamster is just so random and so brief that it leaves the audience in a giggling fit well after the song is over. Sometimes, less is more and this is one of those cases. And in case you were wondering, there is a real Harvey.

The good news for fans is that you can enjoy some of these songs live in 2018.
