When it comes to summer concerts, Utah has some gorgeous venues for music lovers to flock to so they can hear some of their favorite bands whether they’re local, national or world-renowned. Some of these venues have special events in addition to the live music that enhances the entertainment experience. Here are some places to go for 2017 summer concerts and a few mentions of upcoming artists scheduled to perform.
Deer Valley Resort holds their summer music festival at the Snow Park Outdoor Amphitheater where a grand stage is set outside behind Snow Park Lodge. Concert attendees are surrounded by the mountains of the ski resort, and the ambiance is incredibly serene. The Utah Symphony and Utah Opera call Deer Valley their home for the summer, and this year they are paired with some world-class talents that include The Beach Boys and Ben Folds. Diana Krall’s sultry vocals will sway the crowd in July, and the X Ambassadors will rock with high energy the day before the 4th of July. Deer Valley also hosts free concerts every Wednesday night during the summer. For a complete schedule of concerts, please visit their Web site.
The Twilight Concert Series at Pioneer Park has quite the line-up for their 2017 summer concerts. From the smooth vocals of Xenia Rubinos to jazz saxophonist Kamasi Washington, and The Roots crew (official house band of the "Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon"), Pioneer Park will be alive with a diverse array of music throughout the summer. Among the world renowned bands, a number of talented local musicians will be opening for each of the concerts. Local artists will be displaying a number of their pieces, and attendees can also enjoy the food trucks that will be feeding the crowd.
