Pack your family in the car and drive through the dazzling Bright Nights holiday lights show, which has been acclaimed by national publications and has become known as the premier holiday lighting experience in the Northeast. The spectacular experience features impressive holiday light displays, including the works of Dr. Seuss, a native of Springfield. The festive lights can be viewed from the comfort of your car. Expansions of the attraction include the Winter Garden, Happy Holidays, Jurassic World, Toy Land featuring Milton Bradley Co. and Hasbro, Kwanzaa, Everett Barney Mansion, American Flag, Seuss Land Arch, Spirit of the Season, The Blizzard Tunnel, the Giant Poinsettia Candles, and more. Bright Nights also features rides on the Winter Carousel and Santa Train for $2 each. Tune in to WELF 101.5 FM for musical accompaniment to the light show. The Boston Common and Public Garden are illuminated with sparkling lights through the holiday season. The display features a 53-foot-tall White Spruce tree from Nova Scotia, celebrating the century-long friendship between Boston and Nova Scotia.

Christopher Columbus Park will be Christopher Columbus Park has been transformed into a winter wonderland with holiday lights. The 260-foot trellis is illuminated at night, along with the Christmas trees. The entire family will enjoy a leisurely stroll, surrounded by dazzling holiday lights and decorations. Admission is free.
All-New BLINK! Light & Sound Show

The Faneuil Hall Marketplace will be illuminated with the BLINK! Light & Sound Show through New Year’s Day. The centerpiece of the holiday decorations in the Marketplace is the 85-foot-tall fir tree in the Northeast. The show of holiday lights and music is enhanced with music, to entertain the spectators with holiday cheer. The BLINK! Show will be presented every half hour from 4:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. There will be Christmas events on the Saturday afternoons (noon-4:30 p.m.) prior to Christmas, including Rocking Around the Christmas Tree for Charity and Selfies with Santa. Admission is free.
ZooLights at Stone Zoo

Stone Zoo is festively decorated with holiday lights for ZooLights. Kids and adults will enjoy seeing the animals, including black bears Smoky and Bubba, Canada lynx, reindeer, arctic foxes, and bald eagles. Santa will be at Santa’s Castle to visit with children through Dec. 23. Tickets will be $7-$10, and free for children under 2.
Winter Reimagined 2017

Acres of formal gardens and trails are illuminated with lights and decorations for Winter Reimagined 2017. The Garden’s prized collection of trees and shrubs, along with the sculptures and fountains, glow along the lighted pathways. Daytime and nighttime admission vary, and prices are slightly lower on Tuesdays and Wednesday evenings. Children age 5 and under will be admitted free. Check the website for admission information.
Jordan’s Furniture displays the vintage Enchanted Village and the laser light show, Lite, through the holiday season. Kids and adults will have fun skating at the festively lighted indoor skating rink Enchanted Ice during the holiday season. The Enchanted Village is a free attraction. Somerville Trolley Tour

Several residents of Somerville go all out with their holiday decorations, so the Somerville Arts Council created the Illumination Trolley Tour to shuttle people around to see the best holiday lights. Tickets do sell out for the trolley ride, but they will also sell maps for $3, so people can go on a self-guided tour. Trolley tickets are $15/Adults and $8/Children (12 and under) and Seniors (60+).
