The 4th of July will be celebrated with dazzling fireworks spectaculars in Detroit and the surrounding area in 2018. Kids and adults will be delighting at the explosions of light and color in the skies in celebration of Independence Day.  

Greenfield Village Salute to America
June 30, July 1, July 3 & July 4 @ 6 p.m.

The Detroit Symphony will perform patriotic music amid the red, white and blue festooned buildings. The concert with close with a stirring rendition of Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture with cannon fire. The fireworks finale will offer a dazzling climax to the event. General admission tickets are $22.50-$30, with discounts are available to Henry Ford members.   

Fireworks at Stars and Stripes Fest

The Stars and Stripes Festival is a seven-day event featuring fun and entertainment for the family from June 28 – July 4. The fireworks spectacular will be on the eve of Independence Day, July 3, at dusk.   General admission will be $3-5, free for children 5 and under and veterans with Military I.D.

The Packard Proving Grounds Historic Site will host a fireworks festival featuring live entertainment, kids activities, concessions, and vendors.  The fireworks show will begin at 10 p.m. on the eve of Independence Day.

Fireworks in Frankenmuth

Michigan’s Little Bavaria will celebrate America’s birthday with family-friendly activities sponsored by the Frankenmuth Jaycees. The fireworks show will illuminate the skies at about 9 p.m.  Heritage Park will be the best location to view the pyrotechnics.

4th of July in Lansing

Lansing Parks and Recreation will present a concert by the Lansing Concert Band at Riverfront Park. The fireworks spectacular will illuminate the sky immediately following the performance.

Clawson Fourth of July Festival

The Fourth of July Festival will offer family-friendly activities and entertainment on July 3-4.  The July 4 fireworks show on July 4 at 10 p.m. will be the grand finale to the patriotic community festival.

Huntington Woods Parks & Recreation 46th Annual July 4th Celebration

Huntington Woods will hold a 4th of July Celebration June 30-July 4. The community festival will conclude with Fireworks Over Rackham on July 4.  Bring lawn chairs and/or blankets to enjoy the Fireworks at about 10 p.m.

There will be family-friendly events celebrating Independence Day in Clarkston, including a parade, music, kids’ games, Disc Dogs canine frisbee competition, dog adoptions, craft show, and a Veteran’s Celebration. The fireworks spectacular will cap off the celebration at 10 10 p.m. The best place to view the fireworks will be in Clintonwood Park.
