The 4th of July will be celebrated with family entertainment and fireworks in Kansas City, Missouri and the surrounding area in 2018. Kids and adults will have a blast at the dazzling pyrotechnics celebrating Independence Day.

Liberty 4th Fest
July 3 @ 6 p.m.

Liberty 4th Fest will be a celebration of America’s birthday offering family-friendly activities and live music.  The fireworks display will illuminate the skies at 10 p.m.

Annual July 3rd Fireworks Celebration Featuring Switch

Kearney Amphitheater, 100 E. Washington, Kearney, MO 64060

The Kearney Chamber of Commerce will sponsor the concert and fireworks spectacular at Kearney Amphitheater. The concert by the Kansas City-based band Switch will begin at 7:30 p.m. The fireworks, set to music on 96.9 FM, will begin at 9:30 p.m. Admission and parking will be free.

KC Riverfest

KC Riverfest will offer an evening of family-friendly activities leading up to the KC RiverFest Fireworks, which will blast off over the Missouri River at 9:40 p.m. Admission will be $5/person, free for children 12 and under.

Overland Park Star Spangled Spectacular

The entire family will enjoy live music by the Overland Park Civic Band and The Elders. Bring lawn chairs so you can sit and relax with family and friends while enjoying the dazzling fireworks display. Admission will be free.

 Fort Leavenworth Salute to the Union and 4th of July Celebration

The Fort Leavenworth Salute to the Union will feature family-friendly entertainment, activities for children, and the Kansas State University Parachute Team.  The fireworks spectacular will light the skies at about 9:15 p.m. Bring your own lawn chairs and blankets for seating. This patriotic event will be free to attend.

The 4th of July Festival on the River will offer an evening of live music, entertainment, and children’s activities. Food and refreshments will be available from local vendors. The Lawrence Jaycees will engineer the fireworks show after the sun goes down, sometime after 9:30 p.m. Admission will be free.

Historic Downtown Parkville will offer a day of old-fashioned family fun for Independence Day. The Parkville Symphonic Band will perform at Park University’s Graham Tyler Memorial Chapel at 8:45 p.m. The sparkline fireworks show will fire off at Grigsby Field at 9:45 p.m.
