Fireworks will light up the skies in Minneapolis and the Twin Cities area on the 4th of July in 2018. The patriotic holiday will bring out spectators to be dazzled by the celebratory lights and sounds of Independence Day. 

Red, White & Boom
July 3 @ 6 p.m.
Downtown Minneapolis Riverfront, Minneapolis, MN 55401

Red, White & Boom is a popular annual 4th of July celebration hosted by the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board. The evening will include free live music and entertainment for the family.  The dazzling fireworks spectacular will light up the skies over the Stone Arch Bridge. The best place to watch the fireworks will be on the bridge but get there early because it fills up quickly. Some of the best places to watch the fireworks are Gold Medal Park, the Guthrie Endless Bridge, Bde Maka Ska (formerly Lake Calhoun), the Hennepin Avenue Bridge, and Nicollet Island.

Summer Fete in Bloomington

Summer Fete will feature two stages of family-friendly entertainment and a Kids’ Carnival area on the eve of Independence Day. The dazzling show of fireworks will blast off just after dusk.

Rock and Rockets at Mystic Lake

Celebrate the patriotic red, white and blue with music by local artists and “The Voice” stars Kat Perkins and Jesse Larson. Food trucks will be offering food and refreshments before the fireworks show.  The awesome fireworks will dazzle the audience at 10 p.m.

Apple Valley Freedom Days, which runs from June 28-July 4 offers family-friendly activities, including carnival rides, a car show, music, entertainment. On July 4 there be a Family Leisure Pre-Fireworks Party at 6 p.m., followed by the stunning fireworks spectacular at 10 p.m.

Chanhassen 4th of July Celebration

Chanhassen’s Independence Day celebration will offer family-friendly entertainment, carnival rides, Taste of Chanhassen, and more July 2-4. The grand finale of the celebration will be the fireworks show at Lake Ann Park on July 4 at 10 p.m.

There will be three days of family fun in Coon Rapids on July 2-4, including a community parade, car show, live music, carnival, and more. The fireworks spectacular, considered one of the best in the Twin Cities, will blast off on July 4 a 10 p.m.

Lake Minnetonka 4th of July Celebration

The Excelsior-Lake Minnetonka Chamber of Commerce will host an Independence Day Parade and a day of family-friendly activities. The 34th Infantry Red The National Anthem performed by the 34th infantry Red Bull Band at 9:55 p.m., followed by the fireworks spectacular.

Richfield Red White & Blue Days

Red White & Blues Days will be a three-day celebration on July 2-4. Join the fun as Richfield attempts to break the Guinness World Record for “Most People lighting a glow stick simultaneously” at 9:45 p.m. The grand finale of the Independence Day fun will be the fireworks spectacular at 10 p.m.

 Roseville will offer an afternoon and evening of family fun, including carnival activities, live music, and food vendors. The fireworks will sparkle over Bennett Lake at 10 p.m.

The entire family will enjoy the live music at Pioneer Park prior to the 10 p.m. fireworks show.

Manitou Days

Manitou Days will conclude its three weeks of family-friendly events with a grand finale that will include an 8:30 p.m. flyover of T-6 airplanes, followed by sparkling fireworks over White Bear Lake.
