Eyes will face the skies as the fireworks blast off in New York on the 4th of July in 2018. Independence Day fireworks will blast off to celebrate America’s birthday and dazzle spectators.

Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular

East River, New York City, NY

The 41st annual fireworks spectacular will ignite the skyline with more than 60,000 shells launched from five barges in Midtown. The largest Independence Day Fireworks in the U.S will be a “must see” show for people across the country and will be broadcast live on NBC. The live show will include incredible performances by popular musicians, including Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Lopez, Lady Antebellum, Brad Paisley, Sheryl Crow, Charlie Puth, and Hailee Steinfeld. This year’s “Golden Mile” moment and the climax of the show will be the celebrations of the 100th anniversary of Irving Berlin’s song “God Bless America,” performed by Kelly Clarkson, accompanied by the West Point Band and the West Point Glee Club. The special will be broadcast live on NBC followed by an immediate encore presentation at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks will be visible from various locations in Manhattan and Brooklyn. Plan to arrive early as official viewing areas will fill up and spectators will be redirected to different viewing areas. The following are recommended official viewing areas:
42nd Street & FDR Drive in Manhattan is near the Queensboro Bridge and has the Long Island City skyline as a backdrop, offering some of the best possible views. The site is near the Grand Central – 42 St. Station.
34th Street & FDR Drive in Manhattan is a great viewing location that will position spectators directly in front of the barges that will fire off the pyrotechnics.
23rd Street & FDR Drive in the lower Midtown area of Kips Bay will offer breathtaking viewings of the spectacular fireworks show.
18th Street & Avenue C in Manhattan will be an ADA/Special needs viewing area. Enter via 20th and 23 Streets.

Jersey City Freedom & Fireworks Festival
July 4 @ 12 p.m.
Exchange Place, Montgomery at the Hudson River, Jersey City, NJ

Jersey City Freedom & Fireworks Festival will be a huge festival featuring a day of family-friendly fun, entertainment, live music, carnival, huge trucks, a beer garden. The spectacular fireworks show will blast off over the waterfront at 10 p.m. and will be visible from across the river.

Staten Island Philharmonic Concert & Fireworks
July 4 @ 6 p.m.

Experience the stirring music performed by the Staten Island Philharmonic in a concert on the lawn, which will be followed by watching the citywide fireworks displays from the waterfront.
