The city is making a comeback, and America’s birthday will be the perfect time to celebrate the city’s remarkable transformation. If you’re looking for fireworks that will showcase what Detroit is all about, here are five events that you can’t miss out on in Metro Detroit.
The Ford Fireworks

While many of Detroit’s suburbs will host their own 4th of July celebrations (some of which we’ll cover here), this is the big tomato. The Ford Fireworks is Michigan’s largest 4th of July fireworks celebration, with food, activities, and a grand finale that will include spectacular fireworks over the Detroit River.
Lake St. Clair Metropark Fireworks

This Metropark in Harrison Township is one of the best places to spend a nice summer day. It will also be ground zero for an awesome fireworks display that will leave everyone in attendance in sheer awe. For a vantage point that you’ll never forget, rent a boat and watch the fireworks from the water.
Taylor Summer Festival

When summer is here, the town of Taylor knows how to celebrate the coming of sun and fun.The Taylor Summer Festival will be a full day of fun with rides, a petting farm, music and more; and, at the end of the night, fireworks will light up; the Taylor sky.
Lake Erie Metropark Fireworks

Lake Erie will be bustling with families having fun during the summer. On the last week of June, the Lake will play host to spectacular fireworks that will fill hearts with pride for America. Before the fireworks, there will be music and more to keep the folks entertained.
Salute to America

Greenfield Village at the Henry Ford -- 20900 Oakwood Blvd., Dearborn, MI 48124
For four days, the city of Dearborn will be the center of one of America’s best 4th of July parties. The Salute to America event will feature music by the famed Detroit Symphony Orchestra and beautiful fireworks to the tune of 1812 Overture by Tchaikovsky.
