Many residents from of Alor Setar, Kedah, Malaysia, probably couldn't predict that they'd be the hometown of one of R&B's most admired standout personalities today. At the tender age of 14-years-old, Yunalis Binti Mat Zara'ai began writing her own original music. At 19, the talented young woman taught her self how to play guitar.
And now, at 32, she's not only one the most-respected Muslim R&B artists on the mainstream scene, but the artist, formally known as Yuna, is also one of the most successful Malaysia-born artists of this current generation. And just so happens to be preparing to embark on yet another stateside tour to promote her upcoming studio album, Rouge, set to drop July 12.
The "Places To Go" singer will be kicking off her Rouge Tour in Chicago, Illinois on July 14 and wrapping up the multi-city tour within the same month closing out the production in Los Angeles, California at the Fonda Theatre.
